Holiday Windows on Main Street IV

Here is a daytime and night time window display.  I showed you the one on the left on Dec 3.  This is The Polished Edge window display.  I love it lit up at night but I do like the texture found during the day.

I think we can see some of the smaller decorations better in daylight too. I can't decide!

I would never have guessed that it would look so good at night! The daylight view makes it look like a plush pillow!

This is my favorite so far. But I agree with you - it's hard to decide whether day or night is better. They are both unique!

You're right, Regina. Both views of this spectacular display are beautiful. It was neat of you to take both and share them with us.

About the parks in Portland, Oregon--around 500 people camped out in the two city blocks from Oct. 6-Nov.13--Occupy Portland protesters whom the Mayor allowed to be there until too many problems with drugs and such finally caused him to set the deadline and move them out through the 99.9% peaceful efforts of the Portland Police Bureau. The beautiful green lawns were gone--mud, mud, mud instead, massive amounts of trash and garbage remained, the two brick restroom buildings were damaged, park benches were damaged, trees may be impacted but no one will know for sure until spring. The estimate to restore the parks is around $85,000, not counting the over $40,000 spent by parks dept. trying to keep up with the trash and garbage during the occupy. One local bank has given $25,000 towards the restoration, the Portland Marathon gave $4,000, and citizens have made donations of around $8000. Today volunteers showed up to rake leaves, some of them were occupiers. Anyway, one of the occupiers was interviewed on TV for the news and said she didn't see what the bother was and she couldn't understand why occupiers were being blamed for the parks condition. She said something like "I didn't know occupiers were responsible for the falling leaves, but I guess they are now." Good grief.
