Weekend Reflection - Main Street

The all glass building is the HR Block building, which is relatively new to downtown and very striking in the skyline.  Cosentino's Market is a very fun and good gourmet market for all the downtown city dwellers.  The tall reflected building is the Power and Light building, wish I had realize what I was capturing in this photo and gotten a better reflection of this wonderful old building.  Sometimes while I am sitting at stop lights I just shoot (never fails that the light turns green in the middle of my shot).

You're not the only one. I usually get honked at... ;-) Cool shot!

Very nice shot. I love buildings with big reflective windows like that!

Aye! We don't have many of them here, so it's something exotic for now. But soon.. :)

Seems to be a piece of Murphy's Law at work.

I think we've all been honked at, ha ha. I like the design of the HR building but the market would draw me in.

that cosentino's looks like a great place to go!

ha, i know what you mean about the light changing or usually for me i'll be driving down a rural road where nobody is, till i find something to take a pic of and stop (not much room to pull over usually) and a dumb car has to come along...grrrr!!

Love to hear that I'm not the only person who takes a few shots while at the traffic light. I've actually gotten a couple of really great shots that way. Love all the glass here.

So do you hang out the window or shoot through the windshield? Mine is never very clean. Great looking buildings.

When I had my own car, I took photos this way, too, Regina. Now that I drive a Zipcar, I don't do it at all. I find somewhere close to park or pull over before I take a photo. The last thing I would ever need would be to be banned from Zipcar! It's my transportation with mass transit won't work.

Me, too. I have a sunroof and occasionally open it and raise the camera out. Lord knows what the people behind me think. Some shots taken out the driver's or passenger's window have made it onto my blog.
