Garden Statue

I started to post this sculpture for last Tuesday and could find nothing on it.  Cyrus E Dallin is a famous artist and KC has one of his that is a symbol of KC called The Scout (which I've yet to photograph).

I just hit a brick wall when I could not find anything on this sculpture.  I know that doesn't explain my absence of the last week and I can't explain anymore.  Thank you all for your thoughts and concerns.

Cyrus E. Dallin is perhaps the premier American sculpture. To learn more go to the Cyrus Dallin Museum web site. Great that you are back.

Glad you are back, too. I was going through pixel withdrawal!

This is a very nice sculpture. It reminds me of an indian statue we had back home.

Good to see you back and hope everything is fine.

This statue... I was gobsmacked, it's almost the picture of my Native husband. THat nose, the eyes, even the mouth to a certain extent (take feather, knife and pipe with bears away and add a pair of jeans). So now of course I want it. No I won't come to KC to steal it but in my dreams...

There was a bank in Boston called the Shawmut. (Through a series of mergers it is now a small piece of BofA.) The bank's name was Indian and its symbol was a brave who looked exactly like this statue.
