Early Morning Downtown

This is taken at Grand and 8th downtown.  This United State Court House and Post Office was built in 1938 & 1939.  The New Deals program, created to generate employment during the Great Depression, provided funding for construction of new federal buildings nationwide.

Gosh, I'd forgotten all about the New Deals... until now... I love this 30's architecture.

Black and white is perfect for this night shot!

I really should get out more in the quiet hours but it's easier said than done.

A nice, serene, BW shot.

The black and white really takes you back to the 30's. Great night shot!

I am often ambivalent about black and white instead of color, but this one is perfect as monochrome. It fits the 30s style.

Night photography requires an additional skill set which you have obviously mastered. Love the use of light and shadow on this classy building.
