Field Work

This farm is behind my home.  Last weekend they mowed the field and above the hay is being prepared for baling.  Today the field is full of round bales of hay.  One of the beauties of the midwest is harvesting.

So you don't live in the city centre, lol... :-)

I've always wanted to drive a tractor. Now you've got me thinking about it again... It's a lovely shot.

Nothing like observing farm activity.
They are the main source of life and life cycle.

Great Patterns of raked hay and dust rising from the hay rake. Round bales are partly a consequence of only a single worker on each farm.

I have to agree! I love seeing the bales of hay in the fields.

This is a beautiful scene! I often miss the midwest, and this is one of the reasons why. Great shot. :)

I remember the days my friends, in SE KS, used to have to do this. How they loathed it in August.

Neat picture. Thanks for taking me back.
