Monday Murals

From the Avenue of Murals in Kansas City, KS, this one is called the Kansan Printer.  It depicts a printer at a handpress.  It was designed with the help of retired printers who worked at the Kansas City Kansan newspaper.  The artists are Jose Faus and Alisha Gambino.

That's marvellous. I love how the window reflects the same colours of brick and blue!

Boy do I like this. I was just looking at the WPA murals that Principessa Errante 365 posted. And I can see the lineage from them to your mural. The artists from the Plains states were a big influence during this period and the influence of their style can be seen (or is honored) in this mural. Thanks for posting this and participating in Monday Mural.

This is just fabulous, made extra special considering the artists collaborated with people that actually did the work.
