New Temple in the Northland

I have been watching this Church of the Latter Day Saints temple make a cut in the skyline of the Northland for the last year or so.  Recently I read a public open house will take place in April.  Fences are still up as construction continues.  There use to be a narrow two lane road that connected the area to the highway, now the road has been widen. The area has been vastly improved with a roundabout, arbors, gardens and benches.

From the content of your recent pics, there seem to be lots of church-goers in KC!!!

The architecture of churches has always amazed me.

These don't make an appearance in Maine... just the black-suited gents.

If the plan is to make it big and imposing, they nailed it.

I never really liked the design of their churches. First time I've seen one with a statue on top.

I agree with Jack. Very imposing. And, very familiar. There are some just like this around these parts.
