TJ's

Kansas City FINALLY has a Trader Joe's.  Two stores opened a month ago in the metro.  I know many of you have this store already but we didn't.  I visited the TJ's in St Louis every time I visited my son but it was difficult to bring back vegies, fruit and meats.  The store is a 30 minute drive from where I live and that is where I visited first thing this morning.

I haven't heard of this place before! What's the attraction? - variety? - good prices?

Your store looks alot bigger than ours. Do yours have the state specific bags? I bought one in Arizona but we don't have the New Mexico ones yet.

Ah, yes, Trader Joe is popular wherever they are. I have visited TJs in Columbus and Hartford.

Trader Joe's actually started a few towns over from mine (www.templecitydailyphoto.blogspot.com) in Pasadena on Arroyo Parkway. The HQ used to be in South Pasadena (also CA), but now is in Monrovia, CA (where I lived for 14 years, a small city in the foothills of the San Gabriel Mountains). Store is famous for imported foods and reasonable prices.
