Shoal Creek Living History Museum II
There are 20, 19th century buildings dating from 1807-1885 in this village. During the fall there are reenactments of civil war battles and a Harvest Festival. I somehow always missed these events, maybe this fall.

Shoal Creek Living History Museum
I purchased a new camera yesterday and had to take it out for a spin. Since I hate driving back into the city on the weekend, I went somewhere close. Bear with me while I learn the ins and outs of my new camera.

Theme Day - Photo of the Year 2011
I took this photo last May at the Living History Museum of Shoal Creek. I blurred the edges to give it a dreamy effect and like how it complemented the old building and wagon.

One Last Scene from Walk
I do not know if these buildings at Shoal Creek Living History Museum are original to the site. I think the way they are laid out couldn't be anything but from the original village. I guess I am going to have to visit during one of the events they have through out the year and find out more information.

Shoal Creek Living History Museum
Through my wanderings at Hodge Park (yesterdays photos), I stumbled into the Shoal Creek Living History Museum, a village of more than 20 authentic 19th century buildings. Most of these building date from 1807-1885 and sit on 80 acres in Hodge Park. The entrance to this area is different than the athletic fields I've pictured in the past. The Museum has special reenactments throughout the year to bring Missouri to life in that era. I had never realized the Museum was this extensive. Last weekend when I took these photos was beautiful warm weather as you can see, this weekend has been cool with overcast skies.
