Redbud and Lamppost

Taken a mere two weeks ago in the Union Hill neighborhood.  We had a couple of weeks of very warm weather, the flowers bloomed and disappeared to leaves about a month ahead of norm.

Lamps

I am always drawn to lamps.  I like these on the Country Club Plaza, but why would someone crop them with that overhang?

Lights

Yesterday a friend and I attended a huge Holiday Mart at Bartle Hall and while walking on the streets of downtown KC, a wonderful man told us of a short cut by entering through the KC Convention Center.  Upon entering, we found these fantastic lights just inside the entrance of the convention center.  I can only imagine how magnificent these would look at night opposed to during day with light streaming through all the large windows.

Eye Catching

This light fixture caught my eye.  I think this could be hand made with string and a balloon and, and I am not sure what but I like the look.  I also liked the old brick against the red wall and the white light.  I was even more pleased with the wooden ceiling.  I found this at T2, a world of moving images.  They have a fun website.

Succotash

At 2:00 yesterday afternoon it started to snow.  By 3:30 the roads were a mess.  Trying to get to a highway and avoid some traffic I took some streets not on my normal route and came across this wonderful chandelier outside the Succotash Restaurant.  Today I had to go out and capture this photo.   Succotash website also had a photo of the chandelier.  My neighborhood received 9 new inches of snow and there are predictions for several more chances of snow in the next week.
